All of our staff are certified Paddle Canada Instructors.

Paddle Canada certifications are nationally accredited and internationally recognized.
Since 1971, Paddle Canada has set national standards for instruction and certification for all major recreational paddling disciplines. Nearly 2,000 Paddle Canada certified instructors deliver sanctioned canoe, kayak and stand up paddleboard (SUP) courses to more than 10,000 paddlers across Canada annually. From the very start, one of the long term goals of the association was the development of standard skill sets for safe and enjoyable recreational paddling; standards that could be portable and recognized anywhere in our vast and beautiful country.

SAFETY: We promote and teach the safe use of canoes, kayaks and SUP.
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS: We train our instructors to certify people in the knowledge & skills of safe and enjoyable canoeing, kayaking and stand up paddleboarding.
ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS: We help develop a love and respect for our natural resources.
HERITAGE: We nurture understanding of the place of the canoe and the kayak in our Canadian heritage.

Paddle Canada Sea Kayak program includes nationally recognized certifications in five skill levels, five Instructor levels, and four Instructor-Trainer Levels.Certifications are earned during participation in courses and through a process of mentorship. The skill levels begin with an introduction to sea kayaking and follow through to development of the skills and knowledge necessary for safe sea kayak touring along Canada’s magnificent open sea coasts and freshwater shorelines.
